Description:

Sandiway Golf Club is a private members' club located near to Northwich, Cheshire. Established in 1920, the club features an 18-hole Championship Course with extensive practice facilities.

The course was originally designed by former Open Champion Ted Ray. The back 9 holes were then redesigned by Harry Colt (designed Wentworth and Sunningdale) in the late 1920’s. Following the building of the A64 in the 1950’s, holes 2, 3 and 4 were redesigned by Fred Hawtree. The course has held many County and National Championships including Open Regional Qualifiers, and England Golf Championships.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Greenkeeper to join our dedicated team.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- A high level of attention to detail
- The ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- Previous greenkeeping experience.
- Passionate, enthusiastic and self-motivating attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Flexibility to accommodate early starts and weekend work.
- A solid understanding of traditional greenkeeping principles and practices.
- Experience in fertiliser, wetting agent, and chemical applications.
- Competency in operating and maintaining a wide range of turf machinery.
- An interest in golf (desirable).

Essential Requirements:

- Proven experience as a greenkeeper
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Sports Turf Maintenance
- Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable (but not essential) Qualifications:

- Chainsaw certificates (felling and cross-cutting).
- Knowledge of irrigation systems.
- Spraying certificates: PA1, PA2, and PA6.
