We are seeking a Greenkeeper to join our team at Lutterworth Golf Club located in Leicestershire just off the M1.

LUTTERWORTH GOLF CLUB - DEPUTY HEAD GREENKEEPER
We are seeking a Greenkeeper to join our team at Lutterworth Golf Club located in Leicestershire just off the M1. The course is an 18-hole tree lined parkland course. The role is for a Deputy Head Greenkeeper, and we are looking for an experienced individual who is passionate about their craft, to assist with golf course management. The position will be available from the 1st April 2025.
The successful candidate will need to be a strong team player, with a good eye for detail. They will need a passion for working outside, be enthusiastic, willing to learn and with good communication skills. They will be required to work full time, with additional hours on a rota throughout the year - at weekends and on Bank Holidays, for which an overtime payment is made.
The ideal applicant will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of 3-4 years of greenkeeping experience
- Minimum NVQ Level 3
- PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates
- Chainsaw qualifications (desirable)
- 360 Excavator certificate (desirable)
- Irrigation system repair and maintenance
- Construction experience
- Thorough knowledge of modern greenkeeping equipment, and industry changes
- I.T. Skills are essential
- Have sound knowledge of the game of golf (desirable)
The role will require the successful individual to:
- Understand and implement the agreed maintenance programmes
- Implement and update the club’s health and safety policies and documents
- Assist in the day to day running of the department to maximise efficiency and productivity
- Serve in the absence of the Course Manager and Head Greenkeeper including attending meetings
- Lead, train and motivate staff
They should also have:
- A friendly and professional approach towards members, guests, and colleagues
- The ability to lead and work as part of a team and deliver tasks to a high standard
- A willingness to learn new skills and improve existing practices
- A good understanding of safe working practices
- A hardworking attitude and an ability to work from their own initiative
- A friendly and professional approach towards members, guests, and colleagues
