Are you passionate about delivering exceptional events and ready to take on the challenge of the high-profile BMW PGA Championship? Join our dynamic team as an Event Manager and play a pivotal role in planning and executing this premium level tournament.

Who we are: 

The European Tour group is one of the world’s pre-eminent golf organisations. We are responsible for running the world-famous DP World Tour, Legends Tour, Challenge Tour and G4D Tour (golf for the disabled). We also organise, alongside the PGA of America, golf’s greatest team contest - the Ryder Cup.

Main Purpose of the Role

As an Event Manager, you will work within the Championship Management team to effectively plan and project manage delivery of the event. You will support the Senior Championship Manager and take the lead in site management & event site logistics for BMW PGA Championship, under the guidance of the Championship Director.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: 

-Site Management & Logistics.  
-On-Site H&S Management and weekly reporting.  
-Live Music & Entertainment Operations.  
-Support wider Championship Team with Contractor Management. E.g. coordinate site meetings, consolidate action points / comms to the Venue.  
-Set examples for junior members of the Championship Team through proactive event management and best practice. 
-Assist with Venue management and communications.  
-Coordinate event build planning and document management. E.g. build schedule, inductions, delivery schedules.  
-Lead on additional projects/ supplier coordination as required.  
 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience: 

We are looking for someone with experience in event management and site management , particularly with high-profile events.  Familiarity with event compliance and best practice. E.g. H&S standards, Green Guide, HSE construction compliance. You should be proficient in collaborative tools like Outlook, Teams, Excel and ideally Asana. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage stakeholder expectations. You should be adaptable, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach are crucial.
