Description:

Tehidy Park Golf Club is a private members’ golf club seeking an experienced and motivated Head Greenkeeper to lead the maintenance and development of our course. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a practical leader who enjoys working as part of a small, close-knit team.

The Role:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Head Greenkeeper will be responsible for the day-to-day presentation, maintenance and improvement of the golf course and associated facilities. Leading by example and remaining actively involved in all aspects of course maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain the golf course to a high standard year-round
- Plan and carry out daily, weekly, and seasonal maintenance programmes
- Lead, motivate and work hands-on with a small greenkeeping team
- Operate and maintain machinery and equipment
- Manage fertiliser, chemical and water applications in line with best practice and regulations
- Monitor course conditions and respond to weather and play demands
- Assist with budget control and resource planning
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

The Ideal Candidate:

- Proven experience in a management greenkeeping role, ideally as a Head Greenkeeper
- Relevant greenkeeping qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- PA1, PA2 and PA6 certifications
- Strong practical skills with a hands-on approach
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to delivering high standards for members
