Lanark Golf Club is a busy and welcoming members’ club with a large number of visiting golfers. Established in 1851, it is recognised as the oldest inland golf course in the world. The course was originally laid out by Old Tom Morris and George Sayers and later refined by James Braid.

The club boasts both an 18-hole and 9-hole course, excellent practice facilities, a modern golf studio, custom club fitting services and a strong programme of private and group coaching.

The Role

As an Assistant Golf Professional, you will:

- Work towards delivering high-quality golf coaching
- Be mentored and supported by a qualified PGA Professional
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the professional shop, including:Administration and general enquiries
- Stock control
- Maintain a clean and organised shop
- Tee sheet management
- Delivering excellent customer service to members and visitors
- This is a full-time, permanent position, working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis.

Experience & Skills

- Previous experience is not essential, full training will be provided
- Currently working towards, or keen to start, PGA Assistant training
- A good interest and understanding of golf and the Rules of Golf
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent IT skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and deliver excellent customer service
