Fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the green-keeping team at Lancaster Golf Club. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and dynamic assistant greenkeeper to join our team to help us maintain and develop the course further.

Lancaster Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland private members club design by James Braid and is situated south of the city on the banks of the River Lune. The club has an active and friendly membership and has hosted various Lancashire County events over the years.

Job Description

- Minimum NVQ level 2 in sports turf management, with ideally at least 2 years’ experience
- Have a flexible approach to working hours, including been part of weekend & bank holiday rota system
- Must be able to work as part of a team & on thei
- Good understanding of modern golf course machinery & competent in its use
- Have a keen eye for detail and the ability to produce high standard of work
- A positive approach to work with good communication and timekeeping skills
- Ability to provide input into work discussion and course development
- Have an understanding of Health & safety regulations and have a safe approach to golf course maintenance activities
- Ideally hold PA1,2 & 6 spraying certificates but not essential
- Ideally hold chainsaw certificates but not essential
