Description:
Lyme Regis Golf Club prides itself on being a forward-thinking club with the ability to improve the course every year utilising our modern and extensive machinery fleet, and we have an ongoing investment plan for the course so we can keep on improving year after year.
The club recently completed an expansive bunker project on all 18 holes, installed two large ponds and have been committed into further projects included greens and fairway drainage, irrigation upgrades and other course improvements.
Set on the coast in West Dorset with magnificent views, it was founded in 1893, and we are proud to have become an England Golf Championship Venue.

Our ideal candidate should have:
- Minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent in sports turf qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ greenkeeping experience
- Able to safely operate a wide range of golf course machinery
- Good time management and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of team but who can work under their own initiative
- Pa 1 & 6 certificates (desirable but not essential)
- Chainsaw certificate (desirable but not essential)
- Mechanically minded (desirable but not essential)
- First Aid training (desirable but not essential)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day maintenance and preparation of the golf course and grounds
- Operate and maintain machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Help implement seasonal turf care programs, including mowing, aeration, fertilizing, and irrigation
- Ensure exacting standards of presentation and playability
- Work as part of a team, and occasionally independently, to meet daily objectives
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

- Competitive salary based on experience ranging from £26,500 to £28,500
- Schedule - 8 hour shift with some weekend working (rota basis)
