Overview:
The Club are currently seeking an enthusiastic assistant greenkeeper to join our excellent team.
Description:
The West Lothian Golf Club is a championship par 71 course situated between Bo'ness and Linlithgow in Central Scotland. The course is easily accessible from Glasgow (M9 Jct 4) and Edinburgh (M9 Jct3). There is brand new state of the art upgraded staff accommodation with the latest equipment and a full new machinery fleet.
The Club are currently seeking an enthusiastic assistant greenkeeper to join our excellent team.
Applicants will require an NVQ level 2 or above in sports turf (or equivalent). Additional qualifications in PA1, PA2 and PA6 and Chainsaw Certification would be desirable but not essential.
The applicant should be:
- Highly motivated individual, keen passion for greenkeeping with a productive work ethic
- Knowledge in the use and maintenance of all greenkeeping equipment
- Ability to work well within a team and individually
- Able to mow all playing surfaces to a high and presentable standard
- Attention to detail in all tasks, day to day maintenance carried out to the highest standard
- Ability to carry out a variety of tasks requiring flexibility in a desired skill set
- An understanding and mindset towards health and safety
- Effective communication with colleagues, management and members
- Punctual
This is a full-time position based on around 35 hours per week. The successful applicant would be required to work weekends on a rota basis.
