Description:
Dunnikier Park Golf Club, located in Kirkcaldy, Fife, is seeking to recruit a part-time Golf Club Manager, with a start date no later than the end of January 2026.
Founded in 1963, Dunnikier Park Golf Club has a reputation for being one of the friendliest, family-orientated golf clubs in Scotland. Staff, members and guests benefit from a well-maintained, modern clubhouse.
The Club Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the Club, leading the team comprising the Food and Beverage Manager and the Office Administrator.
The role will include responsibility for:
- Preparing the annual budget, investment plan and other financial forecasts, in liaison with the Treasurer.
- Effective communication with members, stakeholders and other customers.
vManaging the golf club’s V1 membership database and membership renewal process.
- Managing all aspects of the Club’s statutory obligations, including HR, Health and Safety, and other legal and regulatory matters.
- Managing all aspects of the Club’s competition, match and handicap activities, and working closely with our Junior/Ladies/Seniors golf conveners.
- Managing arrangements with, and working in close liaison with, the Food and Beverage Manager and staff, the PGA Professional and Fife Golf Trust management.
- Organising and administering Club Council and Committee meetings in liaison with the Club Council.
- Reviewing all activities of the Club and advising the Club Council of any key matters requiring their attention.
- Communicating and networking with the Club Management Association of Europe, Scottish Golf and the Club Managers - Association to ensure industry best practices are implemented across the business.
The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:
- Strong leadership and staff management skills, and an outgoing personality.
- Excellent diplomacy and communication skills.
- An awareness of golf and its traditions, while also looking to embrace future opportunities.
- Knowledge of employment laws and other relevant regulations.
- Business acumen and financial literacy.
- A flexible approach to working hours.
Remuneration:
A competitive salary, commensurate with experience, will be on offer to the successful candidate. The anticipated hours are 15 to 20 per week.
