Overview:
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, ambitious, and driven Deputy Course Manager to assist the Course Manager to lead our hardworking team by continuing the improvements made on the course over the past few years.
Reporting to and working closely with the Course Manager and rest of the Greenkeeping Team you will be pivotal in the future strategy of the course and its development and a key member of the management team. With an exceptional eye for detail, the right candidate will be able to present an excellently manicured Golf course whilst always looking to improve the product, you will be an outstanding leader and work in a hands-on manner with the team, motivating and developing as you go.

Rushmore Golf Club - Deputy Course Manager
Based high on the chalk of the Cranborne Chase in some of the most beautiful scenery in the South of England, Rushmore Golf Club is a Proprietary Club with a growing reputation for excellence both on the course and in the clubhouse. Built on Ancient Parkland the course first opened in 1995 as a 9 hole pay and play facility and has since evolved into an outstanding 18-hole course utilising the spectacular grounds of the Country Estate.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, ambitious, and driven Deputy Course Manager to assist the Course Manager to lead our hardworking team by continuing the improvements made on the course over the past few years.

With an exceptional eye for detail, the right candidate will be able to present an excellently manicured Golf course whilst always looking to improve the product, you will be an outstanding leader and work in a hands-on manner with the team, motivating and developing as you go.
Desired skills, experience & key qualities include:
- NVQ Level 2 in Turfgrass Management as a minimum
- Experience in a leadership role as either a First Assistant or Deputy Course Manager
- PA1, PA2 & PA6 spraying certificates
- CS30 & CS31 chainsaw certificate
- High Professional and Personal Standards
- An ability to communicate in a positive manner
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills along with immaculate attention to detail
- An appreciation for the natural world and its close ties to Golf Course Management
- Be motivational, inspirational, and willing to mentor and develop a team
- Be flexible and willing to work outside of normal working hours when necessary
- Prepare, manage, and control budgets
- Be comfortable with Health & Safety legislation ensuring compliance throughout the department
- A good working knowledge of turf machinery (current fleet is primarily Toro)
- A competitive package in line with the region will be offered to the right candidateSalary: 32000 - 35000
