Role Overview

The Berkshire Golf Club is seeking a highly professional, organised, and motivated individual to join our team as Golf Services Assistant. This pivotal role combines precise office administration with a visible on-course presence, supporting members, guests, and visitors while upholding the Club’s exceptional standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

- Be the first point of contact for all telephone calls and enquiries, ensuring every interaction reflects the standards and values of the Club.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Reservations and Events Manager in the organisation and delivery of golf competitions and events.
- Deliver accurate and timely administrative assistance within the Golf Office.
- Provide a professional and welcoming experience for members, guests, and visitors, reinforcing the Club’s reputation for excellence.
- Support day-to-day golf operation, undertaking light marshalling duties, monitoring pace of play, and assisting players as required.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- Exceptional communication skills and telephone manner.
- Outstanding organisational ability and meticulous attention to detail.
- The confidence to combine administrative precision with an approachable, service-driven presence.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with members, guests, and colleagues.
- Confidence when engaging with players both on and off the course.
- Proficiency with IT systems (training provided for golf-specific software).
- A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
