Copsewood Grange Golf Club, is a member’s golf established in the 1920's with plenty of history to speak for in its 100-year existence, it’s a fantastic 9-hole parkland golf course situated in Binley Coventry, we are seeking an experienced highly motivated individual to join our small dedicated team to help maintain the course to the high standards we set ourselves and to produce a quality standard of work throughout all aspects of greenkeeping.

ABOUT US

Copsewood Grange Golf Club really is a little oasis in the city, a very proud little golf club with fantastic surfaces that our membership enjoys playing on year-round.

It has the river sowe winding throughout its 50-acre site which brings some fantastic wildlife and features, it does however offer another unique test in that the course does sit on a level 3 floodplain, this brings a different challenge to the role with water management at certain times of the year.

ROLE

Reporting to the head greenkeeper or his deputy, you will work closely with the team to maintain the course, practise area and clubhouse areas in all aspects of greenkeeping to continue with the improvements set out by the club, be flexible with seasonal working hours to maximise productivity and efficiency, this is a fantastic opportunity for a greenkeeper that is in the position to take a part time role and enjoy the benefits of both a home life and also keep their hand in producing some great work alongside the team, Minimum of 20 hours a week with more hours worked during summer seasons and less in the winter months, weekends are worked on a 3 week rota to be worked within the 20 hour week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Good knowledge and experience of using all modern turf machinery
- Carrying out all aspects of turf care to a high standard
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
- Assisist with renovation works and projects year round
- Ensure all playing surfaces are maintained to the level set by the club
- Be flexible with working hours to meet the club needs

IDEALS:

- Experience in greenkeeping
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- NVQ2 (Desirable)
- PA1 – PA2 (Desirable)
- Full UK driving license
