England Golf are looking to recruit University students to be volunteer University Golf Officers. This role will aim to engage students in fun and recreational golf activity outside of British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) level competitions and league. To support with developing a range of activities, sessions and events that student golfers of all abilities can access and enjoy. Whilst most universities already have an established programme for the performance golfers, the ambition of this offer is to enhance opportunities for new and casual golfers whilst at university as well as diversifying the profile of golfers.
We are looking for student volunteers who are:
- Able to support the organisation of golf activity both on and off campus
- Is organised and able to arrange activities and social events
- Has good networking skills and is able to make people feel welcome.
- Has knowledge and an interest in Golf is beneficial but not essential and your personal playing standard is not a factor

Support provided to the role from England Golf includes:
- A comprehensive induction programme and ongoing support
- Access to the full learning and development resource library
- Meetings scheduled throughout the year to share ideas and work alongside the University Golf Network.
- Branded clothing
Time Commitment: The role is flexible, and time will depend on the level of activity that are developed however we estimate it to be around 2 – 3 hours per week maximum
Term of Office: The initial term is one academic year with the opportunity to continue for a further year on an annual review basis
