Which major is the toughest to win?
Each of golf’s four majors brings its own unique challenges, but which one truly tests the best players more than any other?
From the relentless rough and fast greens of the U.S. Open, to the unpredictable weather and links-style setups of The Open Championship, every major has its defenders. The Masters may be played at the same course each year, but Augusta National's precision demands and pressure-filled stage are unforgiving. And then there’s the PGA Championship, often featuring deep fields and setups that push players to their limits.
While some fans argue that the U.S. Open is a mental grind due to its penal setups, others believe that mastering The Open's coastal conditions requires the most all-around skill. The Masters rewards course knowledge and nerves of steel, while the PGA Championship often feels like the deepest test of tour-level consistency.
