An excellent opportunity has arisen at Chestfield Golf Club, a private member’s club in Kent. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Course Manager to join our already well-established team.

This 18-hole downland private member’s course in a striking setting has had considerable improvements made over the last few years. With a new automated irrigation system on greens and approaches. Furthermore, we have started a course improvement plan with the replacement of bunkers all completed in house. The club has also invested heavily in new machinery over the last 3 years.

Essential skills and Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- S/NVQ level 2 or equivalent
- NPTC Pesticide: Pa1, Pa6, Pa2a.
- Knowledge of modern irrigation system maintenance.
- Knowledge and experience of golf course machinery setup.

Desirable skills and Qualifications

- Experience in a senior or supervisory role.
- Chainsaw certificates in felling and cross cutting.
- Experience in implementing Health & Safety awareness and understanding.

- Ability to motivate and lead a team in the Course Manager’s absence
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills.

Position Details:

- Full Time - 40 hour week.
- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays.
- Weekend and Bank Holiday duties carried out on a rota basis.
