Assistant Greenkeeper – The Richmond Golf Club

The Richmond Golf Club, a prestigious parkland course located near Richmond Park in South-West London, is seeking an Assistant Greenkeeper to join its dedicated team of 10. The club offers a challenging and rewarding work environment on a well-drained sand deposit course, recognized as one of the driest within the M25.

 
Role Overview
As part of a progressive team, the Assistant Greenkeeper will contribute to maintaining exceptional playing surfaces using both traditional and modern greenkeeping practices. The position involves a variety of course operations, maintenance programs, and projects.

 
Working Hours
– 39-hour work week, including a 30-minute lunch break
– Regular hours:

Monday to Thursday: 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Friday: 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM
– Weekend work on a 1-in-3 basis (paid as overtime)
 
Person Specification
– Efficient, organized, professional, and reliable
– Positive and flexible approach to work
– Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships with staff and members
– Ambitious and motivated to develop within the sports turf industry

 
What We Offer
– Basic Salary: £31,000; OTE (including overtime & bonus): £36,000–£38,000
– Paid overtime at time-and-a-half and double time (Sundays)
