Situated ideally in between Cardiff and Newport against the backdrop of Monmouthshire and the Bristol Channel lies one of South Wales premier golf clubs – St. Mellons Golf Club.

The course itself was designed by the renowned international golf course designer Harry Colt and therefore shares its heritage with golf clubs such as Wentworth, Sunningdale and Royal Porthcawl.

We are looking for an Assistant Greenkeeper to join our team at St. Mellons Golf Club.

Assistant Greenkeeper:

We need an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to help with the day-to-day maintenance of our golf course. You will work with the Head Greenkeeper and the team to ensure the course is presented to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

- All aspects of mowing.
- Bunker maintenance.
- Use of specialist machinery.
- Fertilizer and pesticide application.
- General course upkeep and presentation.
- You will be reporting to the head greenkeeper.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a greenkeeping or landscaping role is essential.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Full UK driving license.
- NVQ Level 2 or higher in Sports Turf Management is required.
- PA1,PA2 and PA6 spraying certification desired but not essential.
- Chainsaw certification desired but not essential.
- You must be a team player with a strong work ethic.
- Annual salary £27,300 subject to experience and qualifications.
