Located just off Junction 23 of the M62, Halifax Bradley Hall Golf Club sits within a picturesque valley, only two miles from the historic town centre of Halifax. While primarily a members’ golf club, we are proud to welcome visitors, golf societies, and the wider community who are drawn to the warm, friendly atmosphere of our clubhouse. Open to the public, the clubhouse is a busy hub where guests can relax with a drink or a meal, making it a popular destination for both golfers and non-golfers alike.

Our facilities include a scenic 18-hole course, a fully covered driving range with a teaching bay, and a Grade II listed clubhouse. We are also a sought-after venue for private functions, from weddings and celebrations to business meetings and funerals, with our function spaces offering stunning views across the course. A forward-thinking, family-orientated Club, we pride ourselves on being welcoming, inclusive, and committed to providing an outstanding experience for all who visit.

Package and Benefits:

- Salary £45,000 pa.
- Annual Bonus £3,000 pa
- Employer pension contributions 3%
- Holidays 20 days + 8 bank holidays
- Contracted 40 hours per week

Position Overview:

This pivotal role requires delivering a first-class hospitality experience across all areas of the Club, being highly visible and customer facing, and ensuring members and guests feel welcome at all times. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in golf, an understanding of the dynamics of a subscription-based business model, and a commitment to fostering community-led club activities and member experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operational Oversight, lead the management of clubhouse and grounds maintenance, ensuring both preventive and reactive work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Leadership & Team Management, line manage Heads of Departments, providing guidance and support while ensuring the smooth delivery of Club operations and events.
- Compliance & Governance, ensure full compliance with statutory obligations, including health and safety, fire safety, and licensing regulations.
- Workforce Planning, maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet operational needs, supporting efficiency and service excellence.
- Financial Management, take full responsibility for achieving the Club’s annual budget, safeguarding financial stability and sustainability.
- Membership Growth & Retention, drive membership sales and retention across all categories, establishing clear pathways for new and returning golfers.
- Event Programming, plan and deliver the annual golfing calendar, including club matches and inter-club knockouts, to provide members with a balanced and engaging program.
- Strategic Development & Communication, collaborate with the Board to shape and deliver long-term strategic goals, while ensuring clear and regular communication with members through newsletters and updates.

About You:

- Proven experience in golf club or hospitality management, with a strong record of accomplishment in operational leadership.
- Flexible and adaptable to the seasonal nature of the role, with availability for regular weekend work and occasional evenings.
- A hands-on operator with a practical approach to managing day-to-day operations.
- A golfer with a solid understanding of club life and a genuine enthusiasm for the sport.
- Based within, or willing to relocate to, one hour of the Club.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of Workplace health and safety.
