About Us:

We have a 18 hole mature, undulating parkland course full of distinctive character which makes full use of its natural hazards to provide a good test of golf. 

The Role:

We are seeking a hands-on, passionate, self-motivated, driven Course Manager with a ‘can do’ approach to lead the continued development and maintenance of our golf course. You will lead a team of 6 staff with varied experience and knowledge and work closely with our Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, motivate and develop the greenkeeping team to deliver excellent course conditions
- Manage and deliver on all aspects of our continued improvement plan, including liaison with external contractors
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all health and safety, environmental and legal requirements
- Monitor and manage budgets to ensure efficient use of resources
- Oversee the maintenance of all course machinery in line with our capital replacement plan
- Manage and monitor budgets to ensure efficient uses of resources

Applicant Requirements:

- Proven experience in a senior greenkeeping role with good knowledge of the game of golf
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Greenkeeping and Sports Turf Management. PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates
- A passionate team leader with very good communication skills
- Maintain a visible & approachable presence with members and guests promoting a culture of excellence and service
