Pollok Golf Club, one of Glasgow’s premier parkland courses, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Course Manager to join our experienced and passionate greenkeeping team.

The Role:

As Deputy Course Manager, you will support the Course Manager in the day-to-day maintenance and development of the course. You’ll play a key role in delivering top-quality playing conditions and helping to implement our long-term agronomic plans.

Also, with course development plans on-going, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to play a key role in the club’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Course Manager in all aspects of course maintenance, team leadership, and project planning
- Lead the greenkeeping team in the absence of the Course Manager
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently
- Participate in agronomic planning, irrigation management, and machinery maintenance
- Monitor course quality and implement best practices to improve playability and sustainability
- Assist with staff training and development

Requirements:

- Highly motivated individual, keen passion for greenkeeping with a productive work ethic
- Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management (Level 3 desirable)
- PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates
- Experience operating a wide range of turf machinery
- Strong understanding of modern greenkeeping practices and course setup
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Passionate about golf course presentation and sustainability
- Full UK driving licence
