Tbilisi Hills Golf in Georgia is looking for an experienced superintendent. The course has been designed by Finnish designer Lassi Pekka Tilander and has been open since 2018. In this short time Tbilisi Hills Golf course has received numerous recognitions – being ranked 34th in the Top 100 Golf courses in Continental Europe by Golf World (2019) and listed as a nominee for Europe’s Best Golf Course by World Golf Awards (2024).

The golf course is located on the border of the capital Tbilisi, just a 20-minute drive from the old town. It sits at 700 meters above sea level offering spectacular views over the capital and Caucasus mountains. The temperatures range from +35 degrees in the summer to -5 degrees in the winter.

 
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of turf care, including mowing, watering, fertilization, and pest control
Manage the maintenance of bunkers, greens, tees, fairways, and rough areas to ensure they are in optimal condition for play
Implement effective irrigation systems and water management practices to conserve resources and maintain healthy turf
Monitor and address turf diseases, weeds, and other issues that may affect playing surfaces
Review and implement changes required to drainage
Lead a team of groundskeepers, providing guidance, training, and supervision as needed
Desired skills:
Strong leadership skills to motivate and discipline the staff
Ability to lead renovation, drainage projects and construction work
Knowledge of irrigation systems
Knowledge of golf course maintenance machinery
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
Qualifications:
At least 5 years experience in the head superintendent position.
