General Manager, Bedford & County Golf Club

£50,000 – £60,000 + benefits

Take day-to-day control of a premier golf club and shape its future with your vision and expertise.

With full autonomy over operations, you’ll implement your ideas and build a legacy. You’ll be trusted to make the decisions that matter, giving you the freedom to experiment and innovate. This is your chance to manage one of the premier golf clubs within Bedfordshire and make a lasting impact on its development and reputation.

What you’ll do

- Provide leadership and effective management to all club staff, overseeing operations including the golf course, member services, events, and facilities.

- Ensure the highest standards are maintained across the golf course, clubhouse, and all facilities, while fostering a welcoming and inclusive club culture.

- Build strong relationships with members, guests, and external partners, and promote the club to attract and retain members.

- Manage budgets and financial performance, achieving revenue and profitability targets, and produce monthly management figures for Board Meetings.

What you’ll need

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Marketing, Sports Management or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Golf Club Management (or a very similar field) with a proven track record of success.

Bedford & County Golf Club is a private members club, situated just north of Bedford on the edge of the village of Clapham

boasts a magnificent 18-hole championship course set in the idyllic north Bedfordshire countryside. Having celebrated our Centenary over a decade ago, the club is proud of its history and traditions, whilst also embracing the modern era.
