About the Club:

The oldest Golf Club in Renfrewshire, Ranfurly Castle is a classic moorland course situated in an elevated position above Bridge of Weir. Originally designed by Andrew Kirkcaldy and Willie Auchterlonie, the course was reconstructed with influence from the legendary James Braid. The quality of the course is reflected in the regular hosting of major events including the PGA Assistants Match Play Championship, the Scottish Girls Championship, Scottish Seniors Open and Scottish Area Team Championship. Voted West of Scotland Club of the Year by Your Golfer magazine.

About the Role :

The Club is now seeking an experienced industry professional General Manager to lead and manage an experienced team, Course Manager, PGA Professional and Hospitality Manager whose priorities are the effective and efficient management and operation of the Golf Club.

Skills & Experience Required:

Candidates should be dynamic, motivated and demonstrate the following:

- Proven leadership skills with a successful record in senior management, and managing a team of employees and contractors
- An outgoing personality capable of motivating staff with strong communication skills
- Excellent financial management skills, including systems, reporting and governance
- Proven ability in IT Skills, website, social media
- Experience/knowledge of the Companies Act
- Experience in strategic business planning and formal reporting
- Experience in Health & Safety, Risk Management and HR
- Track record in Golf Management

We Offer:

- The General Manager position is 40hrs per week over 5 Days (occasional weekends)
- Salary £45k – £50k dependent on experience
- Flexible Working to suit both individual and business needs and may vary over the golf season
