Within the Capital, and beneath the spectacular backdrop of Arthur’s Seat, you will find one of Scotland’s most outstanding parkland courses. Situated within minutes of Edinburgh’s busy city centre this tranquil setting has been home to Duddingston Golf Club since 1895 – a course with rich history and known for its challenging design and sweeping fairways. Set in delightful surroundings, the Braid Burn is a key feature which meanders throughout the course, coming into play on no fewer than 14 of the 18 holes, always sitting in wait to grab that errant shot!

We are looking to retain a modern thinking, self-employed PGA Professional who will liaise with our General Manager, Greens Committee, Hospitality & Caterer Franchisee and Club Directors and position the service provided as a focal point of contact for Members and visitors.

This role offers a rare opportunity for an experienced and reputable qualified PGA Golf Professional seeking to work at one of the leading golf courses in Scotland and have the ability to build a successful business.

- Recruit, manage and lead a professional and efficient team to deliver required services
- Deliver an excellent retail service
- Administer and support golf related services for members and visitors to provide an excellent customer experience
- Develop and deliver a modern customer-focused sustainable coaching business
- Provide the highest standard of golf tuition to individuals and groups including input into ladies and junior strategies
- Embrace the latest technology to enhance all areas of the service provided to include tuition, custom-fitting and repair services
- Use their ability as a PGA Professional to support the growth of income streams
- Develop processes to consistently deliver high levels of customer services
- Work within the local community to build relationships and business opportunities
- Identify future opportunities to enhance and develop Duddingston Golf Club as a venue and business of choice
- Be highly motivated, demonstrating a high level of administrative competency, professionalism and efficiency that align to the needs and priorities of the business
- Understand and fully comply with all legislative requirements associated with the delivery of the service

Requirements:

- Must be a Qualified PGA Professional with minimum 7 years coaching experience
- Minimum 5 year’s experience in managing / supervising a team of qualified golf professionals and coaches -preferred
- Maintain a valid DBS and Safeguarding certificate
- Have strong communication and time management skills
- Minimum 5 year’s experience using leading coaching software's – not essential
- Valid UK drivers license and ability to commute to work
