About Us:
Founded in 1930, Easingwold Golf Club is a members’ club renowned for its high standards of course presentation and friendly atmosphere. Our 18-hole course is set in beautiful countryside and offers a fantastic working environment for greenkeeping professionals looking to further their careers. We are excited to announce that golf course architect Steve Marnoch has been commissioned to redesign the course. the work on the master Plan begins this August, presenting a unique opportunity to be part of a major course redevelopment from new bunkers to building new greens
As an Assistant Greenkeeper, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Greenkeeper and team in maintaining and improving the golf course to a consistently high standard. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a passion for turf care and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out daily course preparation including mowing, bunker maintenance, and general upkeep
- Assisting with renovation and improvement projects
- Operating a wide range of turf machinery and equipment
- Applying knowledge of turf management to maintain healthy playing surfaces year-round
- Ensuring all tasks are completed in line with health and safety guidelines
- Working weekends on a rota basis
Ideal Candidate:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Sports Turf Maintenance (or working towards it)
- Previous experience working on a golf course or in a similar turf environment
- PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates (desirable but not essential)
- A flexible, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn
