The ideal candidate will be a PGA Class A professional with strong leadership, coaching, and organizational skills.

Reports to: Director of Golf

FLSA Status: Salaried/Exempt

Essential Job Functions

- Reports to and meets with the Director of Golf.
- Manages day to day under supervision of Director of Golf.
- Attends all appropriate managerial staff meetings.
- Promotes the game of golf and the Club.
- Organizes and conducts tournaments.
- Completes golf operations time table.
- Assists with establishing Professional Shop goals and policies.
- Schedules golf operations personnel.
- Trains all staff members in all areas, including policy,      procedures and service.
- Promotes the game of golf and the Club.
- Promotes golf tournament participation.
- Liaisons with club committees.
- Conducts quarterly employee reviews.
- Assists with Professional Shop budget.
- Assists with purchasing Professional Shop merchandise
- Conducts staff meetings to ensure that goals and policies are being carried out.
- Communicates with the General Manager and Golf Course Superintendent.
- Oversees all daily cash and charge sales.
- Oversees daily merchandising.
- Sells merchandise.
- Plays golf with the members,
- Hires and fires personnel as needed.
- Instructs golf and creates and develops all encompassing programs.
- Enforces club rules and policies.
- Governs play.
- Oversees the golf cart mechanic.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

- Graduation from standard senior high school or equivalent.
- Must be affiliated with P.G.A. and Class A
- Competent in coaching and creating lesson plans
- Ability to process and balance cash register receipts.
- Knowledge of USGA rules, handicap, course rating system, and the      mechanics of the golf swing.
- Ability to coordinate and expedite golf activities, such as      tournaments.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with golf course      staff and the public; maintain a congenial rapport with all those he/she comes in contact with.
- Proficient in operating JONAS, GHIN and GOLF GENIUS and FORETEES.
- Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and Microsoft office. 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

      · Must be able to work in hot conditions for long periods of time. 

      · Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.

- Must have ability to work in hot and muggy conditions on continuous basis.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.
- Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above. 
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
