We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional course conditions and customer service all year round. As part of our continued development and commitment to excellence, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Deputy Head Greenkeeper to join our dedicated team.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head Greenkeeper, the Deputy Head Greenkeeper will play a key role in the day-to-day management and maintenance of both our 18-hole and 9-hole golf courses.

You will assist in leading a committed greenkeeping team, ensuring that high standards of turf care, presentation, and environmental practices are upheld across the entire site.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Head Greenkeeper in planning and delivering all aspects of course maintenance
- Take a lead role in daily operations, including staff supervision, delegation, and task monitoring
- Operate and maintain a wide range of modern greenkeeping machinery
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
- Participate in renovation projects and course improvement initiatives
- Help train and develop junior staff members
- Maintain strong communication with the management team and contribute to long-term planning

About You

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, enthusiastic, and strives for excellence.

The ideal candidate will have:

- NVQ Level 2 or higher in Sports Turf Maintenance (Level 3 desirable)
- A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in greenkeeping
- PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates (desirable)
- A full UK driving licence
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A strong understanding of modern turf management and machinery
- Flexibility to work weekends and early starts as part of the regular rota
