Salary: Salaried position, salary range £34-40K, based on experience

About Us:
Nairn Golf Club, a historic members club established in 1887, is located on the stunning shores of the Moray Firth. Known for hosting several prestigious Amateur events throughout its history and welcoming visitors from around the world to enjoy a fantastic golfing experience. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our well-established team. This is a vital role within the team ensuring that our machinery fleet remains in the best condition to enhance our 18- & 9-hole courses.
Role Overview:
As a Mechanic/Greenkeeper at Nairn Golf Club, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of all our ground care machinery. Your role will involve stock control, parts ordering, log service records, sharpen all relevant machinery. Whilst always maintaining health & safety and environmental practices.
Reporting to: Course Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain good standards of health, safety & security in the workplace.
- Adhere to environmental policies.
- Operate a service plan for all machinery & turf equipment, keeping all records of parts and labour required up to date.
- Schedule and carryout periodic cylinder sharpening on the relevant equipment.
- Order service parts & manage stock control in line with the budget allowance
- Respond to machinery breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Assist with the instruction & training of employees regarding preventative maintenance and safe operations of equipment.
- Assist with the maintenance of the Waste 2 Water system.
- Prepare machinery for use and for storage.
- Responsible for the maintenance workshop and to keeping it safe, clean & tidy always.
- Monitor equipment performance during operation on the course.
- Keep management informed.
- Undertake any other duties as required by the Course Manager or Deputy Course Manager.
Qualifying Criteria:
- Positive attitude with cheerful and courteous demeanour.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach that demonstrates a pride in your work.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Full, clean, driving licence.
