Overview:
Based in the UK, the successful candidate will take a lead role growing the customer base for Golf Genius. This position will report to the Managing Director of Golf Genius Ltd.
We are seeking a highly motivated, target orientated sales person with a proven track record in sales achievement. The role will involve direct selling in the UK to a large base of clubs, resorts and event providers, as well as liaising with our existing sales and support engineers.
The ability to ‘perform to target’ as well ‘lead by example’ is what we are looking for in this role. Working from home with regular contact with the MD and the sales support team, you will need to be organised and able to self-start – happy to be measured on output.
Experience of the golf industry – preferably PGA qualified – with a proven record of sales performance is required and knowledge of the software environment would be an added bonus.
The role is fast moving and ‘hands on’ as Golf Genius continues to bring new retail and coaching products to the golf industry. Golf events, meetings, exhibitions and conferences are key environments to promote Golf Genius.

Responsibilities and priorities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in cultivating & developing accounts to upgrade to Golf Genius through your existing network of golf club managers, - PGA Professionals and other industry contacts
- Provide training and customer support to existing UK customer accounts
- Assist in Implementing Golf Genius into a significant number of assigned facilities
- Meeting Quarterly & Annual Revenue Targets
- Developing and maintaining prospect and customer list based on strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads
- Work with the sales & marketing team to present best in class demo and marketing materials for selling to new customers and promoting greater product use amongst existing customers
- Be present to assist customers with administration of first events as necessary (some weekend days required, very few)
- Assist in running / supporting Golf Genius at a number of key golfing events each year within the UK & Ireland.
- Attend regular sales, support, and development meetings as required
- Be the voice of the customer by relaying feedback and product requests to appropriate Golf Genius departments
- Any additional responsibilities and priorities, as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of golf industry experience – preferably as a Golf Professional at a private or public facility
- 2+ years of sales experience focused on selling within the golf sector
- Preferably a PGA Member in Good Standing
- Preferably Experience Coaching and running golf camps
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Able and willing to travel as needed
- Computer/tech savvy with demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software systems
- Genuine passion and “pride of ownership”, as if Golf Genius Software was your own company
- Personable and able to interact professionally with peers
- Strong organizational skills and ability to plan and be very self-directed
- Strong communication skills, including oral and written communication
- Ability to “follow up”, doing what you say you are going to do
- Ability to work from home and independently accomplish tasks
Compensation / Benefits:
- Salary Package – £40,000 to £50,000 to include salary and bonus
- Travel expenses paid
