The course itself was designed by the renowned international golf course designer Harry Colt and therefore shares its heritage with golf clubs such as Wentworth, Sunningdale and Royal Porthcawl.

We are looking for a Trainee Greenkeeper to join our team at St. Mellons Golf Club.

Trainee Greenkeeper

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to start a career in greenkeeping. You will work towards an industry-recognized qualification while gaining practical, on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

- Assist the greenkeeping team with all aspects of course maintenance.
- Learn to operate a wide range of machinery.
- Help with essential tasks like raking bunkers and cutting grass.
- Undertake training and assessments as part of the apprenticeship program.

Requirements

- A passion for the outdoors and an interest in golf.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willing to study for a formal qualification.
- No prior experience is necessary, but a strong work ethic is a must.
