As we continue to enhance and evolve our course experience, we are seeking a passionate and driven Assistant Superintendent to join our agronomy team and contribute to the future success of this premier championship venue.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent who is highly self-motivated, well organized, and detail oriented. This Assistant Superintendent role offers a unique opportunity to grow within a high-performing team at a world-class golf facility, located in one of the most dynamic cities in the world. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, a passion for turf management, and a clear ambition to advance into a Superintendent role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in planning, implementing, and supervising the maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and landscape areas
- Participate in scheduling and management of daily maintenance operations to ensure consistent, top-quality playing conditions
- Supervise and train all 45 full time staff and season staff in the proper use and care of equipment including mowers, tractors, sprayers, and utility vehicles
- Monitor turf conditions and proactively identify pest, disease, and environmental stress issues
- Calibrate and apply fertilizers and chemicals; maintain accurate records of applications in compliance with regulatory standards
- Support the management and troubleshooting of Rainbird two-wire irrigation system, drainage systems, pumps, and water usage
- Ensure safe, efficient, and professional working practices in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate on course improvement projects and sustainability initiatives
- Maintain positive, professional communication with staff, management, members, and guests

- Passion for golf and understanding of the game

Qualifications & Experience:

- Degree or diploma in turfgrass management, horticulture, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in golf course maintenance, with 2+ years supervisory experience preferred
- Valid pesticide application certification
- Experience with irrigation system, repairs and water management
- Knowledge of warm season turfgrass management practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
- Tournament preparation experience is highly preferred
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset
