Cathcart Castle Golf Club was established 1895 and is one of the oldest in the area situated in the south side of Glasgow. The James Braid designed golf course is played over undulating parkland and offers a challenge to all levels of golfers. The course is surrounded by picturesque and panoramic views of the City of Glasgow, Campsie Fells and beyond.

We are currently looking to hire an enthusiastic and motivated assistant greenkeeper to join our experienced team. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the Head Greenkeeper with the upkeep of the course to the highest possible standard.

The role is full time, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Additional weekend work, as paid overtime, will also be available on a rotational basis within the Greenkeeping Team.

Ideal candidate will preferably have:

- Knowledge and understanding of the game of golf
- A keen eye for presentation and detail
- An SVQ/NVQ level 2 in sport turf management or equivalent.
- PA1/PA2/PA6 Spraying Certificates
- Experience of operating a wide array of golf course machinery
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own
- The salary (paid monthly) will be commensurate with the abilities of the successful applicant and a contributory pension and 29 days annual leave will be included. Uniform and PPE will be provided.
