Mid Kent Golf Club has an enviable reputation across the county for its Willie Park Jnr designed course.
We are recruiting for an Assistant Greenkeeper to work as part of the enthusiastic greenkeeping team under the direction of a highly regarded Course Manager.
The Directors and General Manager are keen to recruit the right person for the job and a competitive salary will be offered, together with pension scheme, BIGGA membership, all uniform, golf and discounted food and drink on site.
The club plans to continue investment in the course adding to its already extensive equipment and course plan, together with investment in its personnel with further education and training opportunities. The Club also has some major on-course projects which will be really exciting and experience-valuable to be directly involved in.
Salary range offered is from £29,000 to £34,000 plus overtime depending on experience/qualifications.
The ideal candidate will preferably have:
- 2 years’ experience and minimum NVQ level 2 in sports turf management (or equivalent)
- Spraying certificates PA1, PA2 and PA6 & First Aid Certificate - preferred but not essential
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

- Team player
- Good time management and communication skills
- Full driving licence due to location
Duties will include:
- Assist the Course Manager and Deputy Course Manager in the preparation and maintenance of the Golf Course to the highest possible standard
- A keen eye for detail
- Weekend and Bank Holiday work is carried out on a rota basis throughout the year
- Mowing banks, rough and semi-rough, surrounds and approaches, tees, greens and fairways and other general work
- Undertaking other appropriate duties as required by the Course Manager
