Deputy Course Manager - WGC, London (Wanstead Golf Club)

WGC London is looking for a motivated, positive, and enthusiastic individual to take on this leadership position.

The Deputy Course Manager will have full involvement in all aspects of managing an exciting project 25 minutes from the heart of London, and this is the ideal position for someone who wants to learn, grow, be challenged, and continuously push for improvement.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in assisting in daily operations, future planning, and staff development. This is an exciting time for the club, with recent investments including complete new Eco Bunkering throughout the course, clubhouse redevelopment, a planned complete machinery fleet replacement, and a new course maintenance facility, alongside ongoing course improvements.

- Maintain exceptional greenkeeping standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members
- Demonstrate self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic
- Show a commitment to personal development
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, members, and visitors
- Apply strong knowledge of Health & Safety compliance
- Work collaboratively with the senior greenkeeping team and other departments
- Utilisation of digital platforms for communication and record keeping

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Proven managerial greenkeeping experience or an experienced professional looking to progress their career in a management role
- PA1, 2, and 6 spraying certificates
- Chainsaw cross cutting and felling
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Knowledge of irrigation systems
