Job Vacancy: Assistant Greenkeeper

Location: Hollandbush Golf Course

Salary: Renumeration will be based on skill level, qualifications and experience

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Start Date: 01/12/2025

The Role:

As assistant Greenkeeper, you will work the maintenance, development, and daily preparation of the course. This is a hands-on role that includes mowing, bunker work, irrigation, machinery use, and general course maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out routine golf course maintenance duties to a high standard
- Operate a wide range of turf care equipment and machinery safely
- Assist in course preparation for competitions and events
- Undertake renovations and project work as required
- Follow all health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

- Previous experience in greenkeeping or turf maintenance
- NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or working toward (desirable)
- PA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certificates (advantageous)
- Chainsaw certificate (advantageous)
- Good timekeeping, reliability, and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends
