Chief Executive Officer, Roehampton Club

Roehampton Club is one of London’s premier private members’ clubs, offering exceptional sports, leisure, and social facilities across 100 acres of beautifully maintained grounds. Established in 1901, the Club has evolved from its polo and croquet origins into a world-class multi-sport and social destination for over 5,000 members.

We are seeking an inspiring and commercially astute Chief Executive Officer to lead the next chapter in our 125-year story. Following the 17-year tenure of Marc Newey CCM, CCE, this is a rare opportunity to shape the future of our members-owned, not-for-profit organisation. The successful candidate will steward our proud heritage while leveraging our first-class facilities to serve and grow our thriving community.

The role

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will:

- Lead strategic delivery in partnership with the Board, aligning vision with operational excellence.
- Champion a culture of outstanding member service, inclusivity, and engagement.
- Oversee all operational areas, from sports and hospitality to grounds and facilities.
- Drive major capital investment projects and future-proof the Club’s offering.
- Act as an ambassador to members, partners, and the wider sporting community.
- Ensure financial sustainability and explore new revenue opportunities.

- Proven senior leadership experience in sport, leisure, hospitality, or a membership-based organisation.
- A track record of delivering service excellence and significant capital projects.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and team-inspiring skills.
- A balance of respect for tradition with an appetite for innovation.
