The perfect links terrain is set on unique dunelands bordering the magnificent Laggan Bay in Islay.

We’re looking for a Golf Course Manager that can make a difference and run the behind-the-scenes operations of our golf links course smoothly. Right now, purpose counts. What your days could look like:

✓ Oversee the care and maintenance of the turf, ornamental plants, shrubs, trees, natural areas, and water areas on the facility grounds
✓ Responsible for all phases of golf maintenance and agronomic operations, cost control, and personnel
✓ Work closely with, advise, and coordinate with the Head of Golf Operations on any issues related to golf course maintenance
✓ Recruit, supervise, and retain maintenance staff; conduct employee performance evaluations and exercise disciplinary action
✓ Provide technical, operational, and safety training for employees
✓ Develop the annual operating budget and plans for maintenance and capital improvement projects

Job skills and requirements:

✓ Knowledge of management and maintenance of greens, fairways, roughs, natural sand dunes, and potential areas of scientific interest
✓ Skill in recruiting, supervising, training, monitoring, evaluating, and motivating personnel
✓ Ability to anticipate personnel, equipment, and material requirements related to golf course maintenance and repair assignments
✓ Ability and knowledge to lay out irrigation patterns, drainage patterns, and construct tees and/or greens
