The Club:

Founded in 1995 on open heathland and woodland on the rolling slopes of the lower greensand ridge in central Kent, Kings Hill Golf Club has since matured into a testing inland links. The free draining course makes it one of the driest inland courses in the south of England. In superb condition all year round, Kings Hill Golf Club comes in to its own during the ‘off season’ when other courses are closed by the weather.

Set in over 200 acres of undulating terrain it features large areas of protected heath and mature woodland. The 6600 yards, par 72 golf course has been built to the highest specification with USGA standard greens and tees. Practice facilities are superb with a full length practice range, short game practice area, both on grass tees and two practice putting greens.

Main Duties:

Direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of the golf course maintenance department, facilities, equipment and employees. To improve and maintain the golf course conditions to the highest possible standard utilizing all available resources. To motivate and lead the team to achieve the required standard. Always looks for opportunities to enhance the product and in turn increase revenue potential of the property. Manages costs within the agreed budgets.

The position is full time, over 7 days, including weekends and some evenings. Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Employee is regularly required to stand and walk outdoors.

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

- Minimum 5 years greenkeeping management
- Driven with a passion for greenkeeping
- Leads by example and takes responsibility
- PA1, PA2, PA6
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Chainsaw licence

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

- Project management
- Irrigations experience
- Digger licence
- Woodland management
- Basic mechanics
- Currently holding a Course Managers position or senior position withing the greenkeeping team.
