Deputy Course Superintendent

Ardfin is located on the beautiful Isle of Jura off the west coast of Scotland.

We are looking for someone with passion, drive, and commitment to join our team of dedicated greenkeepers and maintain a golf course ranked in the Top 100 courses in the world, currently No. 70 (www.top100golfcourses.com). Ardfin has no membership; our golf season runs from May to October, and we are closed for play outside these months.

Duties include:
✔ Working closely with the Course Superintendent to motivate, direct, and train all staff to ensure the highest possible standards are achieved daily
✔ Leading and working alongside our team of six, plus a mechanic and four seasonal staff
✔ Assuming responsibility for our 19-hole championship course, two 9-hole Par 3 courses, practice range, hotel grounds, and Jura House lawns in the absence of the Course Superintendent

Qualifications and experience:
✔ Minimum three years in a managerial position
✔ Qualified to at least Level 3 in sports turf management
✔ Pa1, Pa2, and Pa6 spraying certificates
✔ Proficient in irrigation maintenance
✔ Chainsaw certificate (desirable)
✔ Experience in people training
