About the Club
Morecambe Golf Club, founded in 1905, is home to a historic course designed by Dr. Alister MacKenzie, retaining its original characteristics. Located along the scenic coast of Morecambe Bay with stunning views of the Lake District, the club is an England Golf Championship venue, having hosted notable events such as the Girls Championships (2021) and the Lancashire Boys Championships. Next year, it will host the Regional Finals of England Golf’s “Race to Woodhall Spa” in May 2025.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Club Manager to lead the club through its post-COVID journey and ensure its continued success as a premier golfing and hospitality venue. This is an exciting opportunity to bring fresh leadership to a dedicated team, elevate the member experience, and further enhance the club’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities
✔ Deliver cost-effective support services to club members
✔ Promote and enhance the club’s reputation as both a golf and hospitality venue
✔ Lead and manage a committed team of staff, ensuring high levels of performance
✔ Forge strong working relationships with the club professional and greens team
✔ Provide front-facing leadership and be a welcoming presence when needed
✔ Be adaptable with working hours to meet the operational demands of the club
✔ Handle demanding situations with a calm and professional approach

The Ideal Candidate
✔ Strong communicator with a positive, welcoming personality
✔ Proven experience in golf club management
✔ Capable of empathy, leadership, and making effective decisions
✔ Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills
✔ Flexible and willing to adapt to the evolving needs of the role

Remuneration
A competitive salary will be offered, based on experience.
