Assistant Greenkeeper/Mechanic
Waterton Park Golf Club

The Assistant Greenkeeper/Mechanic role at Waterton Park Golf Club offers a unique opportunity to work in a stunning setting while contributing to the maintenance and upkeep of the club's high-quality facilities.

Your duties will involve both mechanical work in the workshop and hands-on greenkeeping tasks across the 18-hole course.

Key Responsibilities

 Workshop Management:
✓ Handle the daily operations in the workshop, including machine setup and maintenance scheduling

 Diagnostics & Repairs:
✓ Perform diagnostics and repairs on a range of golf and turf machinery Service Maintenance
✓ Conduct regular servicing on machinery as per manufacturer specifications

 Record Keeping:
✓ Maintain accurate records of all repairs, servicing, and maintenance schedules

 Course Maintenance Assistance:
✓ Support greenkeeping tasks such as mowing, surface care, and daily course setup
✓ Work on course development projects

 Premises Management:
✓ Ensure all premises and maintenance areas remain clean and orderly

Desired Qualifications & Skills

 Teamwork and Independence:
✓ Able to collaborate effectively or work independently as needed

 Mechanical Knowledge:
✓ Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

 Turf Care Knowledge:
✓ Familiarity with turf maintenance practices and equipment operation

 Relevant Certifications:
✓ NVQ Level 2 in Greenkeeping
✓ PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying licenses

 Salary & Benefits
