We are a proud members’ golf club with a long and rich history, situated near the market town of Diss on the Norfolk–Suffolk border. While our heritage is deeply rooted, we are equally committed to providing modern, high-quality services for our members. Our course is carefully managed with environmental responsibility at its core, ensuring that we not only preserve but actively enhance the ecological system that surrounds us.

Our spacious clubhouse offers a warm, friendly and informal atmosphere, complete with a well-stocked bar and a restaurant serving delicious home-cooked food. In recent years, we have significantly invested in refurbishing the clubhouse and golf shop, as well as adding a second building for greens-equipment storage, installing an additional borehole, and upgrading our fairway and greens mowers. With further capital improvements planned, we remain committed to continuous development for the benefit of our members.

Package & Benefits:

- Salary £50,000 to £55,000 pa.
- Employer pension contributions 3%.
- Holidays 20 days + 8 bank holidays.
- Contracted 40 hours per week.

Position Overview :

Your role is central to maintaining operational excellence, guiding staff performance, and ensuring that all areas of the Club operate smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsabilities:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with other clubs and industry associations.
- Act as a primary point of contact for members, resolving issues promptly and ensuring a consistently positive experience.
- Work collaboratively with the Board to develop, implement, and deliver the Club’s strategic goals.
- Manage membership sales and retention activities, including oversight of the waiting list.
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring all team members receive appropriate support, training, and guidance.
- Implement and maintain effective marketing and communications plans, utilising modern media channels to promote the Club.
- Ensure the integrity, maintenance, and presentation of the Club’s property, facilities, and equipment.
- Monitor and ensure full compliance with all current legislation, regulations, and health and safety requirements.
- Maintain strong operational standards across all departments, supporting a culture of professionalism and accountability.

About You:

- Minimum of five years’ management experience within a golf club environment.
- GCMA or CMAE club management certification.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and developing multifaceted teams.
- Demonstrable experience in planning, managing, and delivering capital improvement projects.
- Living within, or willing to relocate to within, one hour of the Club.
- An understanding of the flexible nature of hospitality, including the need to work weekends as required.
- Play golf, with an appreciation and understanding of the traditions and values of a members’ club.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with management teams across all departments.
