Overview:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Golf Course Ranger at the Whitecraigs Golf Club on an immediate start basis.
The role will be on a part-time seasonal basis up to 16 hours per week. The successful applicant should have a welcoming and professional manner and be available to work on a flexible time basis, which includes a mixture of evening and weekend work dependent on seasonal timings and competition schedule.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Golf Course Ranger at the Whitecraigs Golf Club on an immediate start basis.
The role will be on a part-time seasonal basis up to 16 hours per week. The successful applicant should have a welcoming and professional manner and be available to work on a flexible time basis, which includes a mixture of evening and weekend work dependent on seasonal timings and competition schedule.
Reporting to the Club Manager and liaising with the Club Professional, normal duties of this role may include, but are not limited to:
- Starter duties at the 1st tee of the 18-hole Course.
- Reconciling those noted on the start sheet.
- Upholding the Club’s terms and conditions of play and being able to advise the membership and those playing the course of local rules and bye-laws.
- Patrolling the 18-hole and 9-hole par 3 courses, ensuring that those playing are maintaining acceptable standards of course etiquette and setting a reasonable pace of play.
- Ensuring Club Members and Associates are complying with any restrictions based on their membership category.
- Ensuring those playing the course are aware of any temporary rulings based on season or instated by the Committee of - Management as necessary for the protection of the courses.
- Helping to rake bunkers, fix divots and repair pitchmarks.
- Dealing with any complaints in a professional manner and following correct procedures.
Additional Skills and Qualifications
- Positive and approachable demeanour
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Be able to maintain composure in situations of conflict
- Knowledge of golf etiquette and course rules
- Ability to operate a golf cart safely and responsibly
