We are now seeking a Head Greenkeeper who is passionate about their work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for general management and maintenance of the golf course.
This role requires effective leadership skills, good knowledge of turf management and the ability to successfully manage a team of greenkeepers and demonstrate exemplary leadership and commitment.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and driven to produce quality surfaces all year round with an up-to-date knowledge of modern greenkeeping techniques.

Head Greenkeeper - Ashburnham Golf Club, Carmarthenshire, Wales
Ashburnham Golf Club, established in 1894, is a premier championship members’ club in Carmarthenshire. The course was designed by JH Taylor and has hosted various amateur and professional events during its history including the PGA Championship. The Club is renowned for a friendly atmosphere and well-maintained greens.
We are now seeking a Head Greenkeeper who is passionate about their work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance of our unique golf course
- Lead and engage the greenkeeping staff to a high level of work performance
- Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and statutory compliance
- Communicate effectively with the Management Committee, staff and professional
- To continually be aware of developments and improvements in golf course management and maintenance
Experience & Qualifications:
- SVQ Level 2 Sports Turf minimum. Ideally working towards SVQ Level 3 but training plans will be available
- Experience in golf course management, turf knowledge, and relevant qualifications and certifications are essential
- Previous golf course management or advanced deputy role experience preferable
- Maintain an up to date fleet of machinery – Mechanical knowledge would be useful
- Have a good understanding of current health and safety in the workplace
- Full UK Driving License
