Golf Course Superintendent - Penati Golf Resort
 
Location: Senica, Slovak Republic
 
Penati Golf Resort, one of Central Europe’s leading golf destinations, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and daily operations of our two championship courses – the Legend Course by Nicklaus Design and the Heritage Course by Jonathan Davison.
 
Located in the stunning pine forests of the Záhorie Region, just an hour from Bratislava, Penati Golf Resort is committed to delivering exceptional course conditions and an outstanding golfing experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a dedicated team, manage all aspects of course agronomy, and contribute to the long-term development of the resort.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all golf course maintenance and agronomic operations
- Ensure the course is presented at the highest standard for members and guests
- Develop and implement agronomic programs to optimize playing conditions
- Plan and manage staff scheduling, training, and team development
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of machinery and equipment
- Manage and optimize the irrigation system to ensure water efficiency
- Manage budgeting and resource allocation efficiently
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, pesticide, and environmental regulations

What We’re Looking For:
- Formal qualification in sports turf management ora related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership position
- Strong turfgrass agronomy knowledge and experience
- Experience with irrigation system management and maintenance
- Proven ability to prepare and maintain high-quality playing surfaces
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
