Situated in Dunfermline, Fife, Canmore golf club is a tree lined parkland course with panoramic views towards Edinburgh and the Pentland hills.

We are currently looking for a new greenkeeper to assist our experienced team.

Job purpose

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to take on a new challenge and to develop their career with a small, but motivated team. The successful candidate will be required to help ensure that the golf course is prepared for play to the best possible standard.

Key duties:

- Assisting the head greenkeeper in the day-to-day maintenance of the course
- Ensuring that all working practices are conducted within health and safety guidelines as laid down by the golf club procedures
- To be aware of risk assessments to other staff and themselves
- Maintain a courteous and timely service to members and visitors
- Undertaking of specialist training and education as required
- Follow the golf club’s environmental policies

The ideal candidate will have:

- A positive can-do attitude
- A flexible approach to work and working hours based on a seasonal based system
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in greenkeeping position with excellent practical and technical skill set
- Must be qualified to SVQ level 2
- Spraying certificate and chain saw qualifications desirable but not essential
- Driving license preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and alone
- Ability to show attention to detail and pride in their work
- Up- to- date experience of working with modern machinery and proper maintenance of said machinery
- A strong knowledge of health and safety relating to green keeping
