Description:

Tapton Park Golf Course is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Greenkeeper to lead our dedicated greens team and drive the continued improvement of our 27-hole course. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a proven track record of delivering first-class playing surfaces and managing a team to achieve high standards all year round.

About the Role:

As Head Greenkeeper, you will be responsible for all aspects of course presentation, condition, and playability. You will play a key role in future course development, maintenance planning, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of greenkeepers to maintain and improve the golf course to the highest standards.
- Develop and deliver effective maintenance schedules and agronomic plans.
- Operate and maintain all course machinery and equipment to the highest safety and performance standards
- Work with management to plan long-term course improvements and sustainability initiatives
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Monitor course conditions and respond proactively to weather or play demands
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Tapton Park as a welcoming, high-quality venue for all

What We’re Looking For:

- Proven experience as a Head Greenkeeper
- Demonstrable ability to produce and maintain an exceptional course condition
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- PA1, PA2, and PA6 Spraying Certificates (essential)
 - Chainsaw Certificate and First Aid training (desirable)
 - A passion for greenkeeping, innovation, and environmental stewardship
 - Strong communication and organisational skills
 - Full UK driving licence
