Wentworth Club is one of the world’s finest private members' Golf and Country Clubs, famous for its outstanding three Championship golf courses, in addition to a luxury Tennis & Health Club. The Club is surrounded and entwined within the Wentworth Estate, one of the most prestigious private estates in the London suburbs where many of the world’s premier golfers have their home.
To manage the complete teaching programme overseeing all lessons including the junior academy programme, taking personal responsibility for delivering a profitable coaching programme that is of a consistently high standard and meets the needs and expectations of our members and members' guests. To be proactive and innovative in creating and delivering golf development initiatives. To operate the golf academy within the approved operating budget and deliver the agreed targets whilst maximising revenue and profitability of both coaching and club fitting. Overseeing and directing the work of the teaching team and delivering the agreed objectives for all aspects of the golf academy.
Full-time 40 hours per week - basic salary plus commission and bonus.
Key Areas of Activity
Operational/Strategic
✓ To plan, budget, implement, analyse, and revise annual coaching programmes and strategies that deliver high-quality coaching while maximising revenue and profitability.
✓ To liaise with the Retail Manager and Director of Golf to organise and conduct events focused on equipment and custom fitting to stimulate product sales.
✓ To develop and implement standard operating procedures for all aspects of the operation of the golf academy to ensure maximum member and member guest satisfaction. This includes the accurate recording of coaching enquiries and bookings, care and presentation of academy facilities, stock control procedures, availability of clean golf balls, equipment, and operational items to always meet demands.
✓ To keep abreast of technological improvements in the industry and recommend any potential beneficial addition to the facilities to the Director of Golf.
✓ To produce regular operation reports containing details of the golf academy's financial performance, utilisation, and sales.
✓ To establish and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that Health and Safety procedures comply with up-to-date legislation, are clearly communicated, effectively monitored, and regularly reviewed.
✓ To prepare for, attend, and contribute to all departmental and organisational meetings.
Financial
✓ To achieve revenue and contribution targets and all other agreed KPIs for the golf academy and coaching programmes.
✓ To ensure that the daily operations are managed within the operating budget.
✓ To assist the Director of Golf in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets.

✓ Enthusiastic about coaching and learning, structured approach to coaching, able to influence, coaching and mentoring style, strong interpersonal skills.
✓ Professional conduct and appearance, energetic, proactive and innovative, self-motivated, flexible, strong verbal and written communication skills, good time manager, pays attention to detail, uses initiative, confident, reliable, and happy to work autonomously whilst acting within agreed guidelines.
Qualifications
✓ PGA Qualified (AGMS or Foundation Degree)
✓ PGA Class A Member or higher
✓ DBS Check
✓ Current first aid certificate
✓ Current safeguarding and protecting children certificate.
✓ Minimum three years’ experience in golf coaching.
