Overview
Les Bordes, located just 90 minutes from Paris in the heart of the Loire Valley, is one of Europe’s most desirable private estates. The estate offers an exceptional mix of luxury, community, and outdoor pursuits, featuring a globally renowned private golf club, a stunning collection of residences, and a future Six Senses Resort and Spa. We are seeking a Golf Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of golf retail, operations, and instruction, ensuring exceptional service for all members and guests.

Key Responsibilities
✔ Maintain a high profile with members and guests, promoting and executing member events and daily play
✔ Oversee all golf operations, including tournaments, tee sheet activity, merchandise inventory, range operations, player services, outside service operations, and cart fleet management
✔ Manage the full golf operation in the absence of the Director of Golf
✔ Foster a member-focused service environment, surpassing the needs of members
✔ Implement policies and procedures for the golf department and manage work schedules
✔ Provide leadership and vision to the golf staff, building a strong team and preparing them for career advancement
✔ Provide golf instruction through lessons and clinics to members and guests
✔ Oversee hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions for department staff
✔ Ensure the cleanliness and appearance of the Golf Shop, storage areas, and merchandise displays
✔ Monitor retail activities, including inventory management, pricing, and receiving
✔ Assist in the creation of newsletters, informational materials, and promotional content
✔ Collaborate with department heads to achieve the facility’s goals
✔ Maintain a positive professional image within the community and represent the estate at events
✔ Stay active in professional organizations, maintaining PGA membership

Education & Qualifications
✔ Bachelor’s degree (BA) preferred or equivalent experience in golf management or hospitality
✔ Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in golf operations
✔ Class A PGA membership required
✔ Knowledge of golf rules, handicap, course rating system, and tournament organization
✔ Experience with POS systems and tee time management
✔ Strong leadership, organisational, planning, and hospitality skills
✔ Fluent French is desirable but not essential
