Overview:
We are now seeking an experienced Assistant Greenkeeper to support the Head Greenkeeper who is passionate about their work. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the general management and maintenance of the golf course, driving range, practice facility and other outdoor areas. This role requires effective supervisory skills, good knowledge of turf management and the ability to supervise a team of greenkeepers and demonstrate exemplary competency and commitment.
Description:
Set in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside, Whitefields Golf Course, Driving Range and Club in partnership with Draycote Hotel was opened in 1992 and has hosted many championships over the years. It is a great all-weather course, and its fantastic drainage makes it capable of withstanding the elements without having to close.
We are now seeking an experienced Assistant Greenkeeper to support the Head Greenkeeper who is passionate about their work. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the general management and maintenance of the golf course, driving range, practice facility and other outdoor areas. This role requires effective supervisory skills, good knowledge of turf management and the ability to supervise a team of greenkeepers and demonstrate exemplary competency and commitment.

Salary: £28,080.00 [40 hours as required, plus availability of additional hours]
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Greenkeeper in the management and maintenance of the golf course and outdoor areas
- Supervise and lead the greenkeeping staff to ensure a high level of work performance
- To operate appropriate machinery
- To ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and statutory compliance
- To communicate effectively with the Head Greenkeeper, staff and members
- An outstanding level of commitment to Whitefields Golf Club and to its members
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience in golf course supervision and maintenance, turf knowledge, and relevant qualifications and certifications are essential
- Have a good understanding of current health and safety in the workplace
- Experience in supervising a greenkeeping team
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Greenkeeping. PA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certificates are preferable
- UK Driving License
